An attractive young red Rioja made from 100% Tempranillo with aromas and flavours of red and black berry fruits, velvety tannins, hints of liquorice, balsam and spicy notes. This is a fruity and well-balanced, lightly oaked red Rioja. It has a touch of structure which also makes it a good food wine. It has spent 4 months in 70% American and 30% French oak barrels. From Bodegas del Medievo, an exciting and innovative small winery South of Logroño, who are producing modern, fruity Riojas.
With its eye-catching label (Spanish for crazy kitten) this juicy red is bursting with fruit. This is a young, yet full-flavoured Rioja that is strikingly different. Recommended by Decanter Magazine as having “lively fruit flavours, ripe and full, yet composed and stylish.” It has Blackberry and red fruit flavours with supporting nuances of balsam, liquorice and chocolate. An un-oaked Rioja that stands out for its combination of full flavours and freshness.
Inviting aromas of blackberry, cherry and spice with vanilla hints, this is a classic Rioja. It has textured raspberry/red fruits with a touch of black fruit and spice. It has a nice structure and freshness. It is made from grapes from 20 year old vines in the Rioja Alta and Alavesa areas and aged in mostly American oak barriques, with 20% use of French oak for 14 months.
