Ridgeview Bloomsbury Brut NV has a refined biscuity and citrus nose with hints of melon and honey which follows through to a lovely biscuity mid palate. which is beautifully balanced with crisp fruit freshness an impressively long finish. It has very fine bubbles and a persistent mousse.
This is Ridgeview’s signature blend, Chardonnay dominates and brings finesse along with crisp freshness. The Pinots add depth and character leading to a beautifully blanced finish. Ridgeview used to produce this wine as a vintage Sparkling; although it is now a non vintage cuvee it still as good, as acknowledged by a Gold meal at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2017. To say it is just like champagne, is understating it!

Ridgeview is aptly named as they have their own vineyards and winery, high up on a limestone plateau near Ditchling Beacon, one of the highest points in the South Downs, in West Sussex, North of Brighton. They also work closely with several contract growers, and such is their experise that their winery makes sparkling wines for other growers.
Founded in 1994 by Mike and Chris Roberts, this family-run winery in West Sussex which make only Sparkling Wines have won more than 200 awards for their wonderful, consistently good English fizz. Mike received an MBE for his pioneering work in English Wines in 2011 and he sadly passed away in 2014. The second generation have been at the helm for some years and their goal is to continue to expand Ridgeview. CEO is Mike and Chris’s daughter Tamara and her brother Simon Roberts, who is the Wine Maker and Production manager. His wife Mardi is the Sales & Marketing Manager. She met Simon whilst he was working at Brown Brothers in Australia. They have a strong team including Mart Strugnell their Vineyard Manager.
They export their wines to many countries including USA, South Africa and the Netherlands. Ridgeview Sparkling wines were served at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, President Obama’s visit and in Spring 2016 they (along with Chapel Down) were chosen as official suppliers for 10 Downing Street, State receptions.
