IT HAS ARRIVED! Chapel Down Nectar 2016 is another stunning wine from Chapel Down, this time a terrific dessert wine and it really is nectar.
This wine is only made in small quantities and hence is difficult to find! A luscious and aromatic sweet, yet fresh, dessert wine. It was made by stopping the fermentation mid-way, leaving natural residual grape sugar, low alcohol, and a characteristic aromatic delicacy. Aromas of lychee and honeysuckle lead on to a light and fresh palate with flavours of pineapple and peach.
The growing season of 2016 was war, sunny and dry giving fruit of exceptional quality. Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer; their Winery is in Tenterden, Kent, and they grow grapes in Kent, East and West Sussex and Essex.
This wine is delicious with a range of desserts. It is sweet without being heavy or cloying and it comes in a 37.5cl bottle; perfect for the end of a special meal treat! Limited availability.
