a’Becketts Cuveé Victoria 2009 is a smooth, sparkling brut rosé made from Pinot Noir and Seyval Blanc grapes. Attractive strawberry aromas lead into a full-flavoured strawberry fruit apalate with peach hints. It has excellent fruit balance, sustained fin bubbles and a nice dry finish with very good length.
This is a recently released, final batch of this wine which has benefited from further bottle ageing, and developed into a fuller wine. It has been made in traditional bottle fermented method and aged on its lees for 48 months before disgorgement. English Sparkling Rosé at its best; perfect for a summer day and brilliant value!
The grapes are grown in Paul Langham’s family-run 10 acre vineyard in Littleton Panell, Wiltshire which is just North of Salisbury Plain. Paul and Lynn Langham established the vineyard in 2001 and this wine was Paul Langham’s first Sparkling Rosé (named after his daughter); it gained a Bronze medal at the UK Vineyard Association National Wine Competition.
This delightful pale salmon coloured Sparkling Wine joins a’Becketts excellent English Still White and Rosé wines in our portfolio.
