Join us for a “Tour of Spain” Wine Tasting with cheeses in aid of the Woodmancote Village Church. An informal and informative evening, tasting 8 quality wines from around the whole of Spain, and hearing something about the producers, the areas and the wines.
The Woodmancote Village Church is 125 years old this year. It was erected in 1892, and is the fourth oldest “tin tabernacle’ in the UK and the oldest in Sussex. It will cost £14,000 to restore it; the good news is that £9,000 has been pledged and raised so far, but the village still needs to raise £5,000. The village intends that local people will increasingly use the Church as a Community facility, for village meetings, celebrations and events – such as a book club – as well as a place of worship.
Bush Vines is therefore supporing the Village Church appeal by running this Wine Tasting; we hope that people in the village and nearby in Emsworth and Westbourne will support this event and learn a bit more about the wines of Spain at the same time! We will start at 1930 with a small glass of Cava. Places are limited so please book soon: £12.50 a head.
