There is a also great story behind how Alison Nightingale established Albourne Estate in 2009 and has gone on to win awards and acclaim for her wines in just a few years. In 2015 Alison won the UK Wine of the Year Trophy for her 2014 vintage of Bacchus; an amazing achievement as it was up against 320 other English Sparkling and Still wines, and it was only Alison’s second vintage.
