The Grape Escape is a wine adventure at the heart of this year’s Emsworth British Food Fortnight. It is organised by Emsworth’s four independent wine merchants. This is a terrific opportunity to taste over 40 wines ranging from English Still and Sparkling wines to many other countries and regions as different as Rioja to Stellenbosch!
Award-winning English wines will include Hambledon and Raimes vineyards from Hampshire and Albourne Estate from West Sussex; there will also be a range of British Gins and English Whiskey.
Tickets are £5, available on the door, and this includes:
- Tasting of over 40 wines and spirits
- A souvenir limited edition tasting glass to take home
- Meet Liz Sagues, Chichester author of “A Celebration of English Wine” (signed copies available on the day or on our website!)
- Opportunity to stock up on your favourite bottles
There will also be a number of “Tutored” Wine Tastings hosted at Hewitt’s over the weekend, these will give tasters an opportunity to hear the story behind the wines, the people who make them and the places they come from.
There are a limited number of Tickets for these Tastings at £5 per person : They are now on sale at The Brookfield Hotel 01243 373363
