The Grape Escape is a wine adventure at the heart of this year’s Emsworth British Food Fortnight. It is organised by Emsworth’s four independent wine merchants. This is a terrific opportunity to taste over 40 wines ranging from English Still and Sparkling wines to many other countries and regions as different as Rioja to Stellenbosch!
Award-winning English wines will include Hambledon and Raimes vineyards from Hampshire and Albourne Estate from West Sussex; there will also be a range of British Gins and English Whiskey.

There will also be a number of “Tutored” Wine Tastings hosted at Hewitt’s over the weekend, these will give tasters an opportunity to hear the story behind the wines, the people who make them and the places they come from.

3pm – Chocolate and Wine – Pairing wine with Montezuma’s Chocolate

1pm – La Bri Estate, Franschhoek – meet winemaker Irene Waller and taste her range of wines
2.30pm – The wines of Bulgaria; a rise in quality : presented by Jonathan Rogers, VIN Wine Merchants
