The clock is now ticking down to our Spring Wine Tasting! It is on Easter weekend, due to a busy April, but we hope that you will be able to join us on either Saturday or Sunday between 2pm and 7pm.
We have some exciting new finds from New Zealand, South Africa as well as Spain. As you know we are keen to find wines from family-run producers, who offer something a bit different from the bigger brand names. We are convinced that smaller producers are more focused on sustainable production of wines and as result produce some delicious wines, so we are pleased to be introducing some new award-winning wines from the Rose family in Marlborough, New Zealand and a juicy Shiraz from the Southern-most point of South Africa!
Many regular customers have discovered De Wetshof Bon Vallon Chardonnay and we were thrilled to hear that Bon Vallon Chardonnay 2018 has recently won Top Ten Best Chardonnay du Monde. It was up against some top, high-priced Burgundies and Champagnes in this International Competition of just under 700 wines. This is brilliant news for the De Wetshof family and us! To receive a Gold Medal and then be nominated in the Top 10 Chardonnays in the World is a terrific accolade for this fantastic value un oaked Chardonnay, which will be on taste in April.
We will have a wide range of wines on taste for all occasions from Spain, South Africa, England and New Zealand, so we hope that you will be able to join us. It would be helpful if you could let us know which day you would like to join us, ideally by email by Tuesday 9 April 2019. If you are new to our Tastings, they are informal, drop-in Tastings, but booking is essential; we will provide details of the venue on booking. Any queries please phone 01243 378618.
The nearest train station is Southbourne, which is about 20 minutes walk.
