Join us for our Informal September Wine Tasting on either Saturday or Sunday afternoon for a relaxing way of discovering some new wines. Booking is essential, but you can drop-in at any time to suit you.
Our regular Tasters will know that we specialise on wines from smaller wineries, mostly family producers, who focus on quality and sustainability from the vineyard through to making of the wines. Some are organic, many are award-winners but above all they are competitively priced.
As we move from summer into cooler times we will be focussing on more autumnal wines; many on taste have gained press attention and awards. Amongst these will be three particular stars – De Wetshof Bon Vallon Chardonnay 2018 (South Africa which won a Gold Medal and was placed in the Top 10 Chardonnays del Mundo, Manga del Brujo 2015 (Spain) has received a great review from Jancis Robinson MW “richly flavoured…powerful and intense” and Luis Cañas Crianza 2015 (Rioja) which scored 91 points in Tim Atkin MW Rioja Report 2019.
We continue to be impressed by the freshness of organic wines and we will have several on taste, including those from Dominio de Punctum, that are firm favourites with regular customers.
Our September Wine Tasting will show 18 – 20 wines from Spain, England, South Africa and New Zealand. If you are new to our Tastings we will send you details of the venue. The nearest train station is Southbourne; it takes about 20 minutes walk to reach the Tasting. We hope you will be able to join us and in the meantime do browse our Wine Shop on line to discover our wines.
Booking is essential as places are limited. The RSVP button enables you to say your coming on your chosen day, or you can just email us. It would be helpful if you could let us know which day you would like to join us by Wednesday 18 September 2019. If you have any queries please email or phone 01243 378618
