We hope that you will be able to join us for our early Autumn Wine Tasting between our opening hours 2 – 7pm on either Saturday 19 or Sunday 20 September to taste a range of wines selected for late summer and early autumn drinking. This will be our usual informal walk-round, self-pour Tasting.
This is the time of year we like to call late summer as we hope to enjoy some sunny days through to October! It is a good time to savour fuller whites as well as enjoying a wider range of red wines. We will have around 16 wines on taste including our very popular award-winning English wines, new finds from Spain and favourites from South Africa and New Zealand. We were thrilled to have two winning wines in the Wines from Spain Top 100 Awards this year (selected from around 900 entries), including the Best Rosado. Our other great news story is our new Sussex wine – Albourne Estate Bacchus 2014 – has won the UK Wine of the Year Trophy. We are planning to have all these wines on taste too.
If you are a new subscriber, our specialism is to hunt out quality wines from smaller producers at great prices, concentrating on wines from Spain, South Africa, New Zealand and England. This is a great opportunity to try some distinctive wines at competitive prices that offer something a bit different from the big brand names.
We are often asked if subscribers can bring friends to Tastings, to which the answer is yes.
For those wishing to travel by train, we are about 15 minutes walk from Southbourne station.
The Tasting will be held near Emsworth. Please book the day you would like to attend by email or call 01243 378618 by 9 September. If you are new to our Tastings we will provide you with venue details.
