Looking at the world through Rosé-tinted (wine) glasses; two delicious Roses from Spain; Blush in colour these dry roses from family producers are full of flavour. This blog also features Mil Historias Malbec from DO Manchuela in Spain. All at terrific prices. Quality and value from Bush Vines.
Tarima Rosado : Mil Historias Malbec (organic) : Dominio de Punctum Rosado (organic & biodynamic)

Mil Historias Malbec 2016/17 (Organic)

We continue to be impressed with the quality and variety from Spain, and not just because we have our Rose-tinted glasses on! All three wines are produced sustainably, with minimum intervention.

First up is our new arrival Mil Historias Malbec from one of Spain’s highest altitude vineyards at 1100 metres in DO Manchuela, central Spain.

A stunning label, and like the Bobal from this Bodega, a stunning red wine, with intense aromas of blueberries and hints of dark chocolate, leather and spice. There are equally intense flavours of blueberry and cherry fruit with dark chocolate, espresso and liquorice hints. Bodegas Altolandon produce amazing wines of great clarity and expression.

Tarima Rosado 2018

Now really is the time for Rosé and our new arrival Tarima Rosado perfectly complements our other excellent Rosés. In the modern style of pale pink, but with bags of flavour from the Monastrell grape, grown in the hills in DO Alicante.

It has attractive and appealing aromas with cherry fruit, herbs and a touch of crystaline fruit on the nose. This is followed by refreshing, cherry fruit flavours which belie its fairly pale colour and relatively low abv at 12.5%.  It has great structure and length with a lightly rounded finish.

Dominio de Punctum Rosado 2018 (Organic & Biodynamic)

Just in time for summer, the new vintage of this ever-popular Rosé has arrived. It has wild strawberry, redcurrant and peach aromas, which are followed by wild strawberry and apricot fruit flavours. This is a fresh, elegant and structured wine with excellent balance. Although pale in colour it has terrific, full flavours and overall lightness of touch. This is a consistently delicious Rosé that knocks socks off many (more expensive) Provence Rosés. Dominio de Punctum Rosado will hit the spot where other Rosés do not tread! The good news is that as well as being a scrummy, great value, Rosé, it is organic and biodynamic, using practices from vineyard to the winery, geared to put more back into the land for the longer term; find out more.
