Time for Tasting

Time for Tasting at Selbourne Wine Society

Selbourne blog

We were delighted to be invited by the Selbourne Wine Society to give a Spanish Wine Tasting recently. Over 60 members of the Society attended and what an enthusiastic and knowledgeable group they are! We selected the wines to provide a vinous “Tour of Spain”, showing wines from all four corners of Spain (so to speak), over the course of an evening at Selbourne Village Hall. November is a good time for tasting; but almost any months are good for us! See some of their views below and follow the link to read their report in full – “From Cava to Crianza – all in one wonderful evening!”

Wines on Taste at Selbourne:

Sumarroca Brut Reserva Cava 2011

Peregrino Albarin 2013  DO Tierra de Leon

Prado Rey Verdejo 2013  DO Rueda

Cup & Rings Albariño  2011 Sobre Lias  DO Rias Baixas

Casa Castillo Monastrell 2012  DO Jumilla

Bestue Finca Rableros 2010  DO Somontano

Manga del Brujo 2012  DO Calatayud

Luis Cañas Reserva 2009  DOCa Rioja

Dominio de Cair Crianza 2009  DO Ribera del Duero

We always enjoy providing Tastings for groups, in particular making an evening of Wine Tasting an enjoyable and informative experience. We can provide Tastings for groups of 16 to 60+: please email or phone to discuss.

Our thanks to Selbourne Wine Society for their warm welcome and their orders!
