What a buzz at our recent Tasting with new arrivals, Cuvee de Cair (Ribera del Duero) and Raats Dolomite Cabernet Franc (Stellenbosch) amongst the best sellers. Talented top NZ wine maker, Simon Waghorn’s Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir were star performers whilst from Spain Luis Cañas Selección de la Familia Rioja Reserva, Bestue Finca Rableros (Somontano) and organic Floral de Uncastellum were strong red wine favourites. Barton wines from Walker Bay South Africa were also popular with a dry Chenin Blanc and spicy Shiraz/Cabernet.
Peregrino Rosado proves that Rosado is not just for summer! Along with Peregrino Verdejo these wines remain some of our top sellers and we were delighted to see that they have been recognised by an independent Spanish Guide, Guia Penin 2014 with very high points (Rosado 2012: 90 points; Verdejo 2012: 89 points).
However, If you don’t want to splash out on a Champagne equivalent, our sophisticated Topacio Brut Cava at £8.75 is a value quality fizz.
